The locals of Badiang in Brgy. Sinawilan is very happy to receive and welcome the members of Kaloob Foundation, Inc. (Br. Mark Vincent and Fr. Christopher), 6 French Scouts (Sarah, Aglaee, Ombeline, Matthieu, Remi, and Nicolas), a French Volunteer (Samuel), an Indian aspirant (Ashok Kalivella), and an Assumptionist priest assigned to the Divine Mercy Parish (Fr. Andre Kambale Katsyoto). From the airport of Davao City, they traveled to Digos City for almost an hour and a half and had lunch at Kusina Kabacan, wherein they tried the local seafood delicacies. At 3 pm, the Eucharistic celebration, presided by Fr. Cristopher Quinal, AA, was offered to officially welcome the group. All is grace! The chapel was filled with excitement from the people, wearing their best smiles and joyfully singing the Cebuano songs. As part of Filipino hospitality, the locals offered merienda to the scouts and to the whole community. After the short program, the scouts were brought to their homes by their foster families: Mr. and Mrs. William and Gloria Tin-ao and Mr. and Mrs. Boyet and Nancy Naran. Yesterday morning, the rebuilding of the chapel started. It was amazing to see how the local community helped one another. A miracle happens in many ways!
All the best, and more days to go!
